Images in HTML Template

I’ve moved on from a DOCX Template to HTML as it supports images but I can’t figure out a way of getting the pen control in PowerApps to produce anything that the Plumsail Action will understand.

The best I get is “appres://blobmanger/49…” etc string where my placeholders are.

Does anyone know of a way to actually get a captured signature to display anywhere? It’s be great if I could get it to store a base64 string but apparently this isn’t possible. I had thought of trying to upload it as a jpeg to a web address / SharePoint library which the HTML From Template action can use when it renders the page before it creating a PDF, but even this is proving difficult due to the odd way that the pen control works.

Any help appreciated!

Hello @danhfc. thank you for your message.

I’m afraid Pen Control in PowerApps doesn’t allow to store images as a base64 string.
There is a similar question on the MS forum.
You could try to use workarounds that were suggested there.

You could also try to use pen control in our Forms product.
