Hello,
I've created a form using Forms Designer Client 3.1.4.
On the form I included a Cross-site Lookup field.
The column property is set to Enforce unique values.
When submitting a new form and selecting an entry that already exists I'm not getting any error or notifications that the item already has been created. the form just reloads and I can submit/save.
Am I doing something wrong or is that not supported?
Thank you!
Hello @jaitsujin,
What SharePoint version are you using?
Just for the future, questions regarding Forms Designer and Cross-Site Lookup are better answered in the official Forms Designer forum here: Forms Designer Forum - Index page
Hi. Understood. I’ll keep that in mind.
We’re on SP2019.
Should i report my question there?
Hello @jaitsujin,
Handling the unique value error is not supported by Cross-Site Lookup.
As a workaround, you can create a single-line text field to store Cross-Site Lookup ID and enforce unique values for that field. Thus the message will be displayed on the form.
Got it. Thanks. I'll give that a try.
