How can i change the order of columns in the datatable? We've tried everything / adjusting the JSON code but no luck.

Do you need to change the column order permanently? Or do you need to change it dynamically on the form?
If you want to change the column order permanently, you can export the form and swap columns in a text editor. Then import the adjusted form to the designer:
