Thank you for sharing this erroneous behavior! Please don't save the New form while we are looking into the issue. If you have, try to restore it using SharePoint's version history as covered in our guide.
I will post a follow-up as soon as there will be new updates regarding this issue.
We are working on a hotfix for this, but until it's live, you can avoid this behavior by always opening your lists in a new tab, or switching between different form types - New, Edit, or Display - back and forth.
I still heavily suggest making sure you have version history enabled for the Site Pages library before saving your forms.
Back and forth switch doesnt work. We have enabled version history.
We've published the hotfix. @Patrik , can you please update the Designer application and see if the problem is resolved?
I have updated the app. It behaves same as before update.
Does this behavior still happen for every list, or only for Evidence It techiky?
Note that if you saved the form while it was completely blank, then you need to restore it.
EvidenceItTechniky_Položka_New.json and EvidenceItTechniky_Položka_New.designer.json files..there is not Edit/New.designer.json files and also there are not in Bin
Just to confirm - when you type EvidenceItTechniky_Položka_New.designer.json search bar in Site Pages, do you get zero results?
This is strange, we do not delete these files unless you choose to restore a default SharePoint form, and even then we move these files to the Recycle Bin.
Perhaps there are some issues with view permissions? To check that, you could try the following:
Site Pages/PlumsailForms folder, and then switch to classic lookEvidenceItTechniky_Položka_New.designer.json. Uncheck the "Add as a new version" checkbox.I have to apologize for not giving more concrete suggestions. As I said earlier, Plumsail Forms does not permanently delete these files. The bug you initially encountered did not impact this behavior either, so at the moment it is unclear to me what can be the issue.
I tried it and it says that there are unsupported characters like \ ? etc
That is even stranger. Can you try to upload a new file with slightly different name like EvidenceItTechniky_Položka_New1.designer.json or EvidenceItTechniky_Polozka_New.designer.json, and see if you still get this error?
both same result Name of file contains unsupported characters \ / : * ? " < > | # % althought there are none of them tried both names

Additionally, please also try to upload a file with a simple name like test.json. If the error will be the same, then perhaps the issue here is not the filename itself, but the overall path. In theory, the overall path length could be longer than 400, which is not allowed in SharePoint, but that seems unlikely. Alternatively some folder name got corrupted, which also seems strange.
also tried test.json, same problem with characters ![]()
