Save form to PDF in document library?

Hi,

When saving a list form in SharePoint Online, is it also possible to automatically save a PDF to a document library location?

I was wondering whether this is possible via Power Automate? Ideally to replace the existing PDF button (which I know can be disabled using CSS).

@chris.cundy,

You can create a pdf file from the template when the list item is changed or submitted using Power Automate. The generated file can be saved to any location.

Please see the instructions in our documentation here:

I assume the first method requires a subscription to Plumsail Docs?

and the second requires power automate premium for the word online connector.

It’s a shame that the form can’t be saved straight to PDF. It’s a lot of hassle to make a word document snd have to copy all the form fields into this but I guess if it’s the only way right?

Will it also copy over the signature / pen input and other custom fields into the word document?

Thanks

@chris.cundy,

Yes, you can export Ink Sketch control to PDF too.

indent preformatted text by 4 spaces

Yes, if you want to save a PDF file to the document library automatically.

Also, a user can save a form as a PDF by clicking the button on the right side of the toolbar and then upload the file to the document library.

@mnikitina

can you confirm these for me?

@Rinu,

Please completely clear the browser cache and test, We've published a fix yesterday..

Yes, that is correct,

@mnikitina

If we have "any" user trigering the flow and using their own credentials for the sharepoint elements, can we have one singular account with a word online premum license associated with the word online action or would each user need to have a word online license in order for the flow to complete?

@chris.cundy,

Power Automate has different plan options. Please find more information here:
