When will the SharePoint App be supported or is it not possible?

Dear @mbaecker,
Unfortunately, SharePoint App currently doesn’t support customized forms, even when customized with Powerapps. The forms themselves are fully mobile friendly, but the technical part is not supported yet. We’ll have to wait and see if and when the Microsoft changes this in the app, then we’ll make sure to make our forms compatible, but until then not much can be done.
