Trouble installing Forms

Hi there,

I’m trying to install Forms to our SharePoint Online App Catalog. I follow the instructions given by the website ( https://account.plumsail.com/forms/intro) , but after uploading the Plumsail.Form.sppkg file to our sites app catalog, I received a deployment failed error message along with a Correlation ID.

Hopefully some can provide some suggestions.

Hi!
Most likely it was a temporary SharePoint Online issue. Please remove the package, then remove it from the recycle bin, and try to upload and deploy the package again. Let me know a result.

So, removing the package and re-adding did work. The app is successfully registered. However, I am still unable to add the app to my sites. The message I get when trying to add an app to my site using the From Your Organization section is "There is nothing here yet". ( Sorry, as a new user I can only post one screenshot ).

I do have my tenant already registered in the plumsail auth portal. I feel like I'm missing something simple, but I'm not sure what it is.

Thanks for any feedback or suggestions.

Figured I would just post the image in another response.

Dear Brad,
That’s because there is no SharePoint application, it’s not needed. Plumsail Forms installs as an AAD app, so it is available across all the sites.

If you are unsure on how to proceed, please, check out our installation guide - https://plumsail.com/docs/forms/installation-sp.html
Or take a look at our video instruction here - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fnaPGyS0iJU&t=1s

Oh

Well then… that was super easy! :grinning: Great product, I like what I’m seeing so far!

Thanks for all your help.

I followed these directions but am finding only domain admins can create forms... others are able to install but get a message when they try to open a list (it does connect to the site). Does anyone know what I need to grant.

thanks!

Hello @djbeaudin,

Are you using Forms Designer? Could you please share the screenshot of the error including the application, so I could check what product you are installing.

Here is the collapsed message. Others can connect to that site. also, it does appear to install successfully. This message happens after she tries to connect to a site.

Hello @djbeaudin,

This error occurs when the currently logged in user doesn't have Full Control permissions for the site, they try to edit form for. Please make sure that you have a Full Permissions for this specific site.

Just for the future, questions related to Forms Designer are better answered in the official forum here - https://spform.com/forum/

She is the owner of the site already, I guess I can check each list as well. I really don't want to give her global permissions. Thanks

Dear @djbeaudin,
Global permissions shouldn't be necessary for the installation itself, Full Control on the site should be enough, but make sure that the Scripting capabilities are enabled on the site - this is a prerequisite for a successful installation.

I recommend using Powershell script as the fastest and the most reliable way to make sure Scripting capabilities are enabled - https://spform.com/documentation/apps-office-365-installation-guide

Thank you! I will give it a try.
