Starting February 16, 2026, Microsoft began transitioning SharePoint Online authentication from legacy protocols to modern authentication, which affects how Plumsail Actions connects to SharePoint using custom credentials.
To make sure you can continue connecting to Microsoft 365 services, the previous authentication options have been replaced:
- Delegated: the replacement for the old Custom user credentials option. It uses the permissions of a signed-in Microsoft 365 user.
- App-only: the replacement for the old Admin permissions option. It grants tenant-wide access without relying on a specific user account.
