Auto-adjust font size for overflowing text in generated Word/PPTX documents

We are currently using Plumsail Documents to generate .pptx and .docx files using templates. However, we have encountered an issue where if the dynamic text inserted (via tokens or placeholders) is too long, it overflows or gets cut off instead of adjusting the font size to fit the content area.

Issue:

  • In both Word and PowerPoint documents, the text does not auto-resize if it exceeds the space allocated in the content control or shape.
  • This results in text overflowing or being truncated, which affects the readability and layout of the document.

Expected Behavior:

We would like to have a way to:

  • Automatically reduce the font size to fit the content within the given placeholder box/shape or paragraph area.
  • Ensure that no content gets cut off even if it's lengthy.

Request:

  • Is there a setting, feature, or workaround that allows font size to auto-adjust based on the text length?

Hi @av.bidkar,

My colleague replied in the support ticket; please check.

We are discussing the PowerPoint case with our developers and will get back to you shortly with some results.

Thanks for waiting!
