Cannot open files with "+"-Symbol in filename

Hello,

we currently stumbled upon errors when trying to open pdf files (maybe all filetypes) that have a + in the filename. Opening the files directly from the library works fine but when trying to open the files through the list or library control it redirects to an error page "Something went wrong, please try again later".

Doing some validation on the filenames when the form is completed is one way to tackle that issue, but I am sure there are other solutions.

This thread has some useful info on validation - Remove special characters from attachment? - Forms / SharePoint Online - Community

Thanks for the input! We actually do this on some of our forms as a solution.

But I think this shouldn't be the way this works if MS supports + in filenames Plumsail should do it aswell (if possible I guess).

Is the URL link for the file encoding the path with %2B to replace the "+" in the filename or is the "+" included?

Dear @Josh,
Can you show an example? Seems to work just fine:

Also, what's the version of the app package?

Hey @Nikita_Kurguzov,

great to see you are still around. Hope you are well!

We do have the current version. As you can see in the video it only has trouble with PDF files to open. But as I think of it we have the Adobe Acrobat extension installed in SPO so maybe that is what's causing the issues in combination with Plumsail? Speaking against that is that the link to the files is not the acrobat link and the files open in SharePoint.
