I really appreciated this post and have built this automation with all the integration pieces. The process works for me up until the Update Record stage in Make where the Web Content Link from the Google Upload a File is used to update Airtable field {Contracts}. When the automation runs, you can see in airtable that it find the record and highlights the Contract cell in blue and flashes the paperclip attachment symbol, but then it fails to actually attach the file. The contract document I am trying to attach is several pages, so I am concerned that maybe the process “times out” before it completes the file download into Airtable. Not sure, but I may have to try and use the Google Download a File module and see if that makes a more available URL. If anyone has encountered a similar issue and has a solution, I would appreciate that being shared. I will share any solutions that work for me. Thank you!
Hello @Chad_Vargas ,
Please make sure that the folder in Google Drive where your file is saved is shared. This is important for the flow to work correctly.
If the folder is already shared, please send screenshots of your Make settings to support@plumsail.com and mention this topic in your message.
Please include screenshots of the following settings:
- Google Drive Upload a File,
- Airtable Search Records,
- Airtable Update a Record.
If any errors appear when the attachment step fails, please include those as well.
I will assist you in the support ticket.
Best regards,
Aleksandra
