Custom Font in Word Template

Hi,

is it possible to use custom fonts in a word template? The file will be saved with the fonts embedded (https://support.office.com/en-us/article/embed-fonts-in-word-or-powerpoint-cb3982aa-ea76-4323-b008-86670f222dbc). Will they still be embedded and set after populating the file via the Plumsail Flow Connector?

Thanks
Sebastian

Hello @SleevesUp,

Yes, Plumsail connector saves the embedded fonts after populating it with the data. Please give it a try starting free trial on our website.

Hi Petr, thanks for the reply. Is the same true for converting that word document to PDF afterwards? Is there an option to enable font embedding when using the "Convert DOCX to PDF" function via Microsoft Flow?

Edit: just tried it, seems the font is removed and it uses standard fonts... Could the "Create PDF from HTML" be used a workaround using externally fonts with css?

Thanks
Sebastian

For the sake of completeness: Referring to externally hosted font files does not work (no matter whether self hosted or CDN). However, one can inline the base64-encoded font files into the CSS-style part of the document and use them in the document.
