Could you please describe the use case for the TreeView control in more detail? How is this TreeView intended to be used? Where should the data be stored?

we have a List that is storing emails from about 100 mailbox and would be good to have the treeview control in order to list hierarchically the emails for each mailbox giving the option to select the third level and open up a child for the email detail.

To display list data within the form, you can use a List or Library control. To recreate the view you shared, create a grouped view:
