Lookup control cascading filter with text search

Hello,

I have a lookup control that is being filtered by a SharePoint choice field. I would also like for users to be able to search within the filtered results as they enter text. Do I need JS to achieve this?

So, I would like this to filter down to just 'IT Specialist' in this example
