I've just created a couple of web forms for a customer survey. However, the requirements are that the web form is sent to the recipient with a survey ID generated inhouse on a SharePoint list that will capture the responses. Is this possible? Thanks

Yes, why not? You can include it in the URL as a parameter, and then get the URL parameter on the form with JavaScript, placing it in one of the fields on the form. This field can be hidden from the user.
