Word Template > Plumsail Docx Process: Rich Text Content Control boxes (with screenshots)

Hi All,

We are trying to upload a Word template to a Plumsail Documents process but the content control boxes which contain hide-bock-if statements are not uploading as content control boxes but as plain text. I'm new to Plumsail and would appreciate any advice on what we might be doing wrong with the upload that this word document function is being dropped.

This is a screenshot of the Word Template with the control box:

This is a screenshot of the template once it's been uploaded to Plumsail (you can see the control boxes have been removed):

This is the test data used:

This is the result (you can see it has ignored the hide-block-if statement completely):

Thanks for any advice / guidance!

Hi @EccabM,

Please try to use the token with double equals "==" and place it in the rich text control as you did:

{{CompanyName}:hide-block-if(value==”Trust”)} {{CompanyName}}

Please refer to the article about the formatter syntax.

The result is ok after uploading and testing with "Trust" in the processes interface:

Hi Peter,
Thanks so much for the reply. I've updated my word template as suggested - ensuring I was replicating the formulas inside the rich text control within the word document. When I uploaded it to Plumsail Docs the control box is no longer visible and the results are still incorrect - Screen shots below:

Word document showing rich text control:

Template uploaded to Plumsail (control box is now gone):

Test result #1 (Business Type = Trust, therefore Company Name and ABN should be hidden and Name of Trustee should be visible):

Test result #2 (Business Type != Trust, therefore Company Name and ABN should be visible and Name of Trustee should be hidden):

I'm sure this is because the control box formatting is missing when the template is uploaded to Plumsail? How do you upload the word document to Plumsail and keep the control boxes embedded in the document?

Thanks in advance for you help

Hi @EccabM,

Actually, I did the same and upload my test template using Upload button.

Then I click Edit to open the template and then Test teamplate:

I think doesn't mattet that you don't see the rich text control in the Porcess editor. It still should be working. Try my template and let me know the results.

You can also do the same with a table cell. Place the hide-block-if formatter into a table cell and check.

Could you share yout template?

Hi Petr,

Thanks so much for the update. While I test your attachment here's mine for you to test. Let me know how you go!

Kind regards,
Rebecca

Hi Petr - I can't upload my test document (it's only 1.2MB but I'm getting error saying it's over 3MB). Is there another way I can send it to you?

Here's a OneDrive link to the document: Microsoft OneDrive
