Could you expand the browser console (F12), click the Save button again and provide the list of errors and notifications from the console?

Response to preflight request doesn’t pass access control check: No ‘Access-Control-Allow-Origin’ header is present on the requested resource. Origin ‘http://newportal.storm.local’ is therefore not allowed access. The response had HTTP status code 401.

As I see, you opened the site using FQDN (newportal.storm.local) but SharePoint still interprets it as newportal - this is the only mapping you have.
