HelpDesk: Widget Updates

Over the past months, we've been gradually improving the widget in SharePoint HelpDesk — some updates you may have already noticed, others are brand new. Let's take a look at everything the new widget offers right now.

Ticket submission for unauthenticated users on external websites

Visitors on external websites can now submit tickets without registering or signing in. The new ticket submission for unauthenticated users makes it faster and easier to get help with minimal steps. Just enable this option when configuring the HelpDesk widget for external websites:

Built-in knowledge base for SharePoint sites

Embed the widget on your SharePoint site and turn it into a self-service portal. Employees can search the knowledge base before submitting a ticket, resolve common issues on their own, and reduce the load on your support team.

Microsoft Teams tab

Add the widget as a tab in Microsoft Teams to bring HelpDesk even closer to your team's daily workspace. The tab supports displaying the knowledge base, ticket creation, and ticket tracking without leaving Teams.

Other improvements

The new widget comes with a significant performance boost. It also offers a more modern look and feel, making the experience smoother and more enjoyable for your users.

If you haven't tried the new widget yet, we encourage you to update your HelpDesk and experience it firsthand.
