Search not working, Search Indexer has run full/incrementals and no results come up in the helpdesk search

We have a trial install on Sharepoint 2019 that we've been testing for a few weeks now. Apparently search isn't working, we discovered today.

I checked the Sharepoint sitewide search indexer, and it is running weekly full indexes and incrementals every 20 minutes; is there something I need to do within Helpdesk to get it to tap into those results?

Update: Items DO come up when I search the site, just not when searching tickets.

Please use the dropdown menu in the site search to specify you search (search tickets, contacts etc):
